 Encaustic Gallery
These works are close-ups of trees, enhanced using
wax and oil media. The wax was poured onto the canvas, allowed time to
cool and I then engraved a chosen design in the wax film. Finally, I used oil
paints to enhance the rich tones and hues. I enjoyed using a loose approach in applying the oil
which I found satisfying, giving me freedom to express my interpretations.
